Thomas M. Flaskamp
Tom Flaskamp is a highly skilled attorney fighting for the rights of injured railroad workers and their families. He also has extensive experience in other types of serious personal injury litigation and is a MSBA Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist.
Over the last 20 years, Tom has successfully litigated cases in 23 states in both federal and state court. His accomplishments include:
- winning a verdict of $2.8 million on behalf of an engineer who was seriously injured when his train was diverted onto side tracks and struck standing rail cars;
- recovering $1.25 million on behalf of a student engineer who was exposed to toxic gas;
- $450,000 for an engineer who was able to return to service after a toxic exposure;
- $750,000 for a conductor who suffered a low back injury carrying a knuckle; and
- a federal court verdict of $730,000 for a 56 year old engineer who tore his biceps closing the door of a crew van.
Tom is a member of the Academy of Railway Labor Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, the Minnesota Association for Justice, and the Warren E. Burger Inn of Court. He is currently admitted to practice law in the following courts:

Tom graduated with Honors from William Mitchell College of Law in 1990. He received a degree in Business/Marketing from Arizona State University. Tom is an instrument-rated pilot, participates in triathlons and enjoys motorcycling.
